Set on North Stradbroke Island, the Straddie Salute is a breathtaking experience on Brisbane’s doorstep. Swim the crystal clear waters, ride the scenic 4WD tracks and roads and run along one of the most beautiful coastal trails in Queensland. Take up the challenge or grab a couple of mates, enter a team and join the fun!

· 600m Ocean Swim

· 18km Mountain Bike (Offroad & road)

· 8km Coastal Run

THE STRADBROKE ISLAND BEACH HOTEL FUN RUN AND WALK

The Fun Run & Walk is a less challenging but equally breathtaking scenic tour of Point Lookout. Open to all fitness levels, the course starts with a short road section before joining the Straddie Salute coastal run course on Main Beach.

There are amazing spot prizes to be won and all proceeds go to the Straddie Sharks Allsports Club in Dunwich. On the day entries are available for this event also.

THE CRL STRADDIE GIFT

Back yourself in a sprint? ‘The Straddie Gift’ is a $1000 "winner takes all" 100m beach sprint open to all Straddie Salute competitors and the general public of all ages. Challenge your mates and be on the startline to win the cash and the crowning glory as the fastest man or women on Straddie! Entry fee of $10.00 applies for non-competitors. All proceeds to Point Lookout Surf Life Saving Club.

Another successful Straddie Salute!

The second annual Straddie Salute Off-road Triathlon was held last Sunday October 11th at beautiful Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island. The capacity field of 300 individual and team competitors were promised a ‘race with a difference’ and the Straddie course delivered exactly that. Excitement mixed with nervous tension as competitors lined up on Home Beach awaiting the mass beach start.
