Leanne has lived at Point Lookout for the last twelve years and has only recently begun showing her artwork.
She cites colour as being her main inspiration and this is evident in the strong palettes she selects for her paintings. The variety of works Leanne is exhibiting depicts both local scenes and indigenously inspired creations.
Having travelled widely throughout Australia she has been influenced by the symbolism and culture of the Aboriginal people both on North Stradbroke Island, Central Australia and in far North Queensland which has been integrated into some of her paintings.
Leanne is currently working on a new series that Straddie Online will exhibit in the Coral Sea Gallery in the near future.
